The Overview Effect is a cognitive shift in awareness reported by some astronauts while viewing the Earth from space.

The Earth is immediately understood to be a tiny, fragile ball of life, hanging in the void, shielded by a paper-thin atmosphere. National boundaries vanish, and the conflicts that divide people become less important, encouraging a sense of unity with all of humanity and life on Earth. The need to create a planetary society with the united will to protect this planet becomes both obvious and imperative.

These two prints accurately depict the relative size of the Earth and Moon. To represent the average distance between them, the two prints would need to be hung about 23 feet apart (7 meters).

These are high quality prints of an original oil paintings. They are printed with archival, pigmented inks on fine matte finish paper and lightly signed at the lower right. I put a lot of time into making sure my prints look great and I get lots of compliments on them!

Earth measures 12 x 12 inches plus a half inch white border. Moon measures 3.5 x 3.5 inches plus a half inch white border. Shipped rolled and well protected inside a tube by USPS mail.
